Details of Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler’s joint custody agreement have been revealed in new court docs filed on May 4. It even stipulates how they should speak about each other in front of their kids.
Kristin Cavallari, 33, and Jay Cutler, 37, have agreed to split custody of their three children — Saylor James, 4, Camden Jack, 7, and Jaxon Wyatt, 5 — 50/50, as part of their ongoing divorce battle, according to docs filed in a Tennessee court on May 4 and obtained by HollywoodLife. The court docs detail that both Jay and Kristin are prohibited from “speaking badly” about one another or “the members of the family of the other parent” while in front of the children. The former couple are also encouraged to ensure that their children “love the other parent” and are “comfortable in both families.”
“The Mother and Father will behave with each other and each child so as to provide a loving, stable, consistent and nurturing relationship with the children even though they are divorced,” the court document states. “They will not speak badly of each other or the members of the family of the other parent. They will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families.”
Holidays are to be split evenly, although Jay will have the kids for Father’s Day and Kristin will have the kids for Mother’s Day. When it comes to Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day, both Jay and Kristin will switch between odd and even years and follow guidelines per school releases and reconvening. The 50/50 split comes as a surprise in the former couple’s ongoing divorce proceedings. In her April 24 counter-complaint to Jay’s April 21 divorce filing, Kristin initially sought to be the “primary residential parent” after denying that her husband was always the “available at home parent and primary caretaker” of their three young kids.
After almost 10 years together, 7 years married and 3 beautiful children, Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler have announced that they are separating.
Jay Cutler Is “Upset” Kristin Cavallari Is Requesting Primary Custody of Their Kids in Their Divorce
Kristin apparently also wants to move out to Los Angeles from Nashville.
Just when we thought Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler’s divorce couldn’t get any messier…surprise! Tensions between these two are rising higher than my blood pressure, because Jay is allegedly fuming about the requests in Kristin’s divorce documents. Initially, the former couple kept things friendly, but a new Entertainment Tonight report claims that things have changed.
“Kristin and Jay planned to keep everything amicable, but that’s not the case anymore,” ET’s insider said. “Kristin filing for primary physical custody upset Jay. He loves his children more than anything and thinks the couple should be reasonable and split custody.” On top of that, “Kristin has made comments about possibly moving back to L.A., which is also a concern of Jay’s, as home for the family is currently Nashville,” the source added.
In the divorce documents that Kristin filed, she requested primary custody of their three children, Camden, Jaxon, and Saylor. Kristin wants Jay to pay child support, but Jay is contesting this because he wants joint custody of the kids. Jay claims he’s been “the available at-home parent and primary caretaker of the parties’ minor children,” but Kristin denied Jay’s claim and says *she’s* been “the primary residential parent” and is “a fit and proper person to be named Primary Residential Parent.”
Kristin also cited “marital misconduct” and “irreconcilable differences” as the reasons for the breakup. She claimed Jay “is guilty of such inappropriate marital conduct as renders further cohabitation unsafe and improper,” adding that “any misconduct alleged or implied against her in the complaint for divorce was in response to and/or as a result of misconduct on behalf of the Husband.”

With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce. We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family.
She’s back, baby! Kristin Cavallari revealed she’s returning to The Hills during its next season.
“Yeah, I’m going to make an appearance on The Hills,” Cavallari, 33, told Entertainment Tonight at the Uncommon James SS20 launch party in West Hollywood on Thursday, March 5. “I don’t know what I can and can’t say. Clearly, I just say always so much, but people expect that from me.” The designer is ready to head back to the L.A.-based series, but a source confirmed to Us Weekly on Friday, March 6, that “it’s just one episode.”
“I’m excited! I’m actually very excited,” the mother of three told ET on Thursday. “I think it’s going to be fun to go back and see the old gang and, yeah, I’m looking forward to it.” The former Laguna Beach star explained that the show has “just started filming,” but she hasn’t done her part yet. “I don’t know when I will start filming or what’s happening yet, but I will be,” she said.
Unlike her Nashville-based reality series, Very Cavallari, her brief cameo won’t include her former NFL husband, Jay Cutler.
“He would never. He wouldn’t do it,” Cavallari revealed. “I can barely get him to do Very Cavallari. I think secretly he has fun doing it. He would never admit it. I can tell. He’s really good at it. He’s coming into his own.” While the fashion guru is happy to be appearing on The Hills reboot, she has no idea what that will entail, or whether or not she’ll appear on screen with her ex-boyfriend Brody Jenner.
Kristin shared a message with fans on her Instagram yesterday about separating from Chinese Laundry. Kristin has been working with them for six years, and as there were no fall lookbook teaser showing itself – Kristindaily figured she would make the decision to let it go and focus on Uncommon James instead.

I can’t thank Chinese Laundry enough for the past 6 years. I’ve learned and grown so much as a business woman with their guidance and will forever be grateful to them for making my dreams of having my own shoe line become a reality. After a tough decision, I’ve decided to part ways to focus on Uncommon James. I haven’t been able to give my shoes the love and attention they deserve. I appreciate all the support over the years and don’t worry, this is just the beginning!
The relatively new Nashvillians aren’t moving away from Middle Tennessee, just relocating within the Nashville area. Cutler said there are a lot of things to love about this home. “I think one of the most appealing things is the location,” he said. “We loved the privacy of the neighborhood, but being so close to town.”
The home also features seven full bathrooms, three half baths and a full basement that Cutler and Cavallari built out. “We finished the basement a few years ago and it’s a space we spent a lot of time in,” he said.
The home, built in 2007, also houses a seven-car garage and five working fireplaces. “This house has a lot to offer,” he said. “We have a lot of memories in that house and we will miss it. We got married and had three children since we have owned that house, so it’s been a huge part of our life and hopefully someone will enjoy it as much as we have.” Co-listing agent Tim Thompson said this is a great family home that is also well equipped for entertaining.
“It’s very welcoming with high ceilings and nice, big rooms to entertain in,” Thompson said. “The master is on first floor and on the second floor the kids’ rooms are all down one hallway and adjoin a shared playroom.”

According to Berkshire Hathaway broker Larry Hitz, the 7-bedroom, 10-bathroom estate features a 4-car heated garage on a professionally landscaped, wooded lot with a pathway that leads to a private beach on Lake Michigan.
Built in 2013, the upscale home also boasts six fireplaces, a wine cellar, exercise room, basketball court, theatre room and butler’s pantry. Cutler was released from the Bears in March. He, Cavallari and their three children reportedly moved into a home in Nashville earlier this month.
Kristin Cavallari has a new baby — her jewelry line. “I’ve created a company,” the Hills alum, 30, exclusively tells Us of the line, Uncommon James, which launched on Tuesday, April 25. “I’ve really poured my heart and soul into it. I’ve been involved in every little detail, so it’s extremely meaningful to me. This is my baby!”
Though she’s no stranger to designing baubles (Cavallari cofounded Emerald Duv in 2014, but stepped away this January to launch her solo venture), she says that this project has been a labor of love in a very special way. “I am involved in every facet of the company, from measuring out the actual jewelry to overseeing all of the shipments to creating the line sheet,” says the mom of Camden, 4, Jaxon, 2, and Saylor, 17 months (with NFL pro husband Jay Cutler). “Everything is my vision.”
